Hotel Calypso
In the small fishing village of Matala where the caves became
a paradise for the «hippies» in the 70's, you can
find CALYPSO HOTEL.

 The hotel is situated a couple of hundred
meters from the beach. The road to the beach is just a pleasant
walk with a great view through the beautiful nature Cretan nature.
Calypso is a family hotel of 45 beds with comfortable rooms.
Each one of them has air condition, telephone and it's own bathroom,
balcony and safe box. In the entrance of the hotel you can find
private parking, a bar and a big veranda for breakfast.

Taverna restaurants. Fresh fish from the Libyan Sea, the local
wine, and the Cretan drink Raki, in the picturesque bay of Mesara
facing the world famous caves would be an unforgettable experience. |
Trips in the surroundings are easy to make. There are historical
places you can visit in the neighborhood but also quiet traditional
villages and beaches like e.g. Agia Galini or Komos. Even by
bus or scooter you can reach everywhere.
Heraklion is by bus only in 60 minutes to go.
