Hotel Matala
Dear visitor, we welcome you to Matala valley village hotel.
Our family started operating the hotel in 1990.
It is a category B hotel, designed to accommodate more than
90 guests.

 It consists of a main building with reception
area, bar, snack-bar, out door veranda, restaurant and six bungalows
with 24 rooms each one with separate and private entrance throw
the garden.
They are very comfortable and more quite from the rest of the
hotel rooms, ideal for families and those who need individuality
in their holidays.O ur wonderfully green and well-preserved
garden of 6 acres, surrounding the valley village complex with
its two swimming pools, the playground, and the out door bar.
The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well isolated from
noises and high Cretan summer temperatures. |

 They can accommodate 2 or three persons
and they all have bath/wc, radio, telephone, air condition,
small fridge and a big balcony.
There are two swimming pools with sweet water, one for adults
and on for the children, a big terrace with sun chairs free
of charge for our guests and shadow under the trees and pergolas
around the pools. W e offer our guests the peace and tranquility
of the southern Cretan nature and climate. Open spaces, fresh
air and plenty of light combined with the family atmosphere,
the unique Cretan hospitality, the quality and comfort plus
the services provided makes every single guest to feel like
home and wanting to visit us again. |
At the hot summer days our guests enjoy to have their breakfast
or dinner at our verandas with view tour garden, pool and the
Matala rocky mountain. For breakfast we provide a rich continental
buffet with many extras. The dinner is also served in a buffet
and it contains every day original Greek specialties. In the
bar of the hotel the two brothers Dimitris and Giorgos creating
every night delicious cocktails which you can enjoy at the outdoor
veranda or at the inside bar listening to the music or talking
with the others guests of the hotel. Once in the week there
is a Greek evening with barbeque in the garden, live music,
Syrtaki dance, Kretan wine and a lots of fun.

The hotel lies in a quite, and privileged location 800 m from
the sandy beach of Matala, in south Crete with dry and pleasant
climate conditions, 65 km from Heraklion airport. The beach
of Matala opens like an embracing arm into the Libyan sea.
It's golden sand the clear waters and the mysterious rocks
attract many visitors to this corner of the island. Valley
village is ideal for families and children and those who are
expecting to find a different, easy and with the sense of
individuality holiday. There is a great number of regular
guests who visit us every year and sometimes twice the year.
